Eco-Art Mindfulness Retreat
Spend an afternoon out on the water, learn about the natural ecology and wildlife, collect shells and driftwood on a private beach only accessible by boat, create a mandala in the sand with found objects, all while cultivating a mindfulness practice. The surroundings make it easy to let go of life's responsibilities and stressors and focus on appreciating the moment through engaging all of our senses. Mindfulness practice has been demonstrated as an effective tool that anyone can use to positively impact their psychological health and well-being. It has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety, and improve depressive symptoms. A recent study demonstrated that only 45 minutes of creative engagement can help reduce stress hormones in the body. Registered Board Certified Art Therapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Reina Lombardi, will facilitate the mindfulness and arts aspects of the excursion. David Lombardi, of Southwest Florida Dolphin & Nature Cruises, LLC will be our guide and captain. We will be sure to have a relaxing and replenishing day.
